The GLobCurrent meeting will take place on March 7-9, at IFREMER Institute (Technopôle Brest Iroise, Pointe du Diable, Plouzané), located less than 20 minutes away (by car) from Brest city center.
You can reach Brest and IFREMER from the airport by taxi or bus, or rent a car at the airport.
Airport shuttles until Brest center
From the airport, It takes about 20 minutes to reach the city center (stop called gare SNCF).
One way is 4.60 , round trip 8.40 .
Taxis await you on arrival of each plane:
- Airport to IFREMER: about 25
- After 7 p.m : about 30
- Airport to Brest center : about 15
- After 7 p.m : about 25
A free shuttle bus is arranged for the meeting at scheduled times (see on agenda). (it will not take you on wednesday morning and friday afternoon)
Last-Minute Information : Due to roadworks between Brest and Ifremer the departure of the meeting shuttle will be earlier than planned.
Moreover, Bibus, the public transport company, runs every 30 min from Brest city center to the Technopôle Brest Iroise (Line 28), from Liberté/Ségalen to Piccard bus stop (near Ifremer Institute). Please download this document to see instructions and the city map :

Euros
There is no change facility near IFREMER site. We advise you to get Euros at the cash point of the Airport or in Brest city center.
Lunches
At the IFREMER restaurant = 8,30 (including main course, 1 drink, 1 coffee). Tickets will be available during coffee breaks. Note that only cash euros will be accepted.
